Janus Films releases the Icelandic/Danish feature Godland.
Godland is a meditative odyssey about art, faith, and colonialism.
The film follows a priest on his journey to a remote Icelandic village, tasked with photographing the landscape, animals, and inhabitants along the way.
It is the third feature of Icelandic filmmaker Hylnur Palmason, and had its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival last May– where it was especially lauded for its stunning cinematography.
Godland will open at the Laemmle Glendale and Monica Film Center on February 10th. You can view the trailer here.
The church will plan a special group screening. So please keep an eye out for more information.
